Step 1 – Asphalt Paving and Repair

ASPHALT PAVING and REPAIR

Asphalt Repair [as-fawlt or, especially Brit., -falt] – [ri-pair]

-verb
1. to repair damaged asphalt
2. to cut, remove, and replace broken asphalt
3. the use of hot mix asphalt to repair failing pavement

Materials: The use of hot mix asphalt is viewed by most all reputable contractors as the gold standard in asphalt repair. Cold mix is also accepted as a quick fix or small pothole repair. We use both hot and cold mix. For major or permanent repairs we only use hot mix asphalt.

How Thick: Asphalt in parking lots and driveways should be no less that 2-inches. We have seen asphalts as thick as 18inches on our large industrial projects. Most jobs are 2-inch pavements. We will always replace asphalt back at customer requested depth. Our default depth is 2-inches.
